Like everything, Butter Roll was born as a simple idea: to share vintage images via social media in the Spring of 2015. Since it’s inception, Butter Roll has partnered with New York City’s Parks Department & Lakeside Prospect Park for the past two summers to produce one-of-a-kind IRL roller skating events with over 500 skaters in attendance.
Brooklynbred urban history buff, Amy ‘Amz’ Collado is an advocate
for the preservation of what makes her generation (and the generation before hers) so sought after: Cultural Integrity.
Founder of Hood Relics, LLC, a creative production company which officially launched Summer of 2015, Amz has
produced various projects both in front of and behind the camera, based on the experiences of growing up in the inner city.
Using multidisciplinary methods, including film, new media, and special events, Amz highlights and
celebrates experiences that very rarely get authentic recognition. Most recently, Amz appeared on BET’s Vote Your Voice
National Campaign featuring local artists, social activists and influencers in New York.
She also just curated her 3rd artshow #Born2Late: A Tribute To NYC’s Golden Era
at Arts East New York in Brooklyn.
Amz is passionate about the economic development of the many communities she identifies with, entrepreneurship,
maintaining the physical, mental and emotional well being of NYers through recreational skating and unique events.
Amz recently relocated from Brooklyn to the Hunts Point section of The Bronx.
